Moment macro lens — Real World Review for Nature Photography
I posted a review of the Moment macro lens in my Youtube channel couple of months ago. Even though it is one of the sturdy and optically great lens, i was skeptical of this lens for my genre. As a nature photographer it is hard for me to get really close to subject and not to disturb them, which was the case with moment macro lens as the closest focus distance is just less than a centimetre.
Due to covid regulations, i was not able to put this lens to good use in real world. After a long time, traveled to Coorg, the perfect spot for macro photography. Also I carried only my mobile and moment macro lens instead of my usual Nikon macro kit.
Yes, it is hard to capture with this lens all the time but for it is not impossible. The trick is to use manual focus as much as possible. I kept the the camera on manual focus (pro mode) and kept the focus range to infinity. Since the focus plane is very shallow with this lens, you would have to focus on infinity to get sharp images at close distance.
